Ministries
The local church in Pimentel meets regularly for prayer, worship and teaching. We teach the people to be witnesses in their own community and work to meet needs as we become aware.
Our latest addition is a new soccer field. This has been a blessing to the community as it gives young people a safe place to gather and have fun. Other groups, including the local police, have used the field for their tournaments. When they use our facilities, they are presented with the Gospel message and are exposed to our ministry.
We also teach baking as a useful skill for future employment opportunity. It is another opportunity to share the Gospel with the kids.
We have partnered with leaders in a few villages that have churches already established. Using this partnership, we have gone into unreached areas of the jungle to share the Gospel message. We do a lot of teaching in the existing churches and are training young men and women to share their faith with others in their villages and outside villages.
Recently we have started a Bible school to train those interested in deeper truths and understanding of God's Word. This has been an exciting addition to our ministry.
We also try to meet the needs of these churches by providing solar lights and other items that are desperately needed. We will help fix wooden bridges in need of repair.
The jungle ministry involves spending time with the people, bathing in the river, eating meals with them and just being there to be a help.
By God's grace we have a motorcycle ministry in Pimentel, Peru. It is called TRAVELERS WITH A PURPOSE MOTORCYCLE CLUB. It was founded to be an encouraging ministry for the men in the church who like to ride. We meet around 2 times a week to study the Word of God. We also meet socially to enjoy a motorcycle ride or just to hang out and be an encouragement to each other. We want the men and women to be on fire for God in their local church. There are other clubs here in Peru so we also reach out to them to share The Gospel of Jesus Crist. Our symbol means Christ is the light of the world who shed His blood to break the chains of sin.
